You may notice that you didn't see the cadre in the previous post. There is a reason for that. The cadre is the orchestrator, the conductor, the... mastermind behind each GRC. Without the cadre, the challenge doesn't exist. He is put in charge of developing individuals into a team. He sets the foundation and the keystone. The cadre gets his own post.
Cadre Tyler ran GRC 771 with quiet assertiveness. There was no shouting. There was no swearing. He only raised his voice to gain attention to explain the requirements of the next evolution. He shared a personal story wrought with sadness and hope - determination and the resilience of the human spirit. He encouraged Class 771 with his high expectations and knowledge that they could press on beyond what they thought.
At the end, nearly 20 miles covered, over 800 repetitions and over a course of nearly 12 hours... 18 people became 1 team.
