I’ve been absent online over the past week because my wife and I finally went on our honeymoon! We decided to get through the holidays and take advantage of the “slow” season at Universal Orlando Resort. We are both huge Pottheads (for those not in the know, Pottheads are fans of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World) and roller coaster junkies. Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure host two of the most immersive Wizarding World experiences in the world, so it was only natural that we took our honeymoon there.
It was five solid days of trekking over 65 miles within the parks and an After Hours event at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. A week full of magic, mystery, plunges, drops, screams, and smiles. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to share the experience with. Frankly, without her, I never would’ve stepped onto a roller coaster or dived into the world of Harry Potter. Both of which I have fallen in love with. All thanks to my incredible wife.
I am so excited to go back again and experience it over and over with Niki. The new roller coaster is slotted to be the best in Florida and once Fantastic Worlds is completed, it will offer an entirely new immersive experience into the Wizarding World.
Also. If you’re going to take a vacation, don’t do it like this:
Please. Please, please, PLEASE. Don’t bury your face in your phone for the duration of your trip. Take the time to take it all in. Enjoy it. Experience it. A screen isn’t necessary. I promise.
